Commission a Painting

A portrait is a wonderful keepsake to treasure for a lifetime!

I am often asked if I accept commissions for creating an original work of art. I love to paint portrait and I do accept commission if it's something within my style and if I can locate the leaf (size and specifics), which can be challenging at some times of the year.

Commission a painting of your beloved pet and companion:

You consider your dog, cat, bird, horse, or other pet part of the family. They give you the unconditional love that only an animal can give. They’re loyal, loving, forgiving, sensitive, and they’re always there when you need a friend. The memories you share with a pet are among the most precious you will ever make.

You’ve likely taken dozens of photos of your beloved friend, but do photographs really capture those big sweet eyes, that precious face and that loving moment in the way you’d like?

Photographs just can’t do justice to our loyal, beloved pets.

That’s why as an artist I can offer you vibrant, realistic portraits hand-drawn just for you, from your favorite photo.

A Pet Portrait captures the beauty, sweetness, and personality of your special companion in lifelike detail. Now, you can have a true-to-life portrait drawn of your beloved best friend, ensuring that you always remember that favorite moment or classic animal expression forever in a unique form! And this original paints on natural leaves creates a unique piece.

A portrait is a wonderful keepsake of your pet for you to cherish forever. They also make a thoughtful, unique gift for anyone who loves their pet as much as you do.

Commission a painting of a family member:

Long before photography, throughout history, painting, drawing and sculpture were the medias used to keep memories alive for future generations. Portraits painted hundreds of years ago are still admired today in museums and homes all around the world. A painted work of art is a beautiful way to commemorate a special event or time, to celebrate a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, a graduation, a beautiful outfit, a child at a special time of life, ...

Condition of the commission:

Any commission work I do would have to be painted in my own style regardless of subject matter, please browse through my galleries to become familiar with my work. I require 50% of the total up front to cover material costs and as a deposit. I always email a scan or digital photo of the finished work, and make as many revisions as necessary before the final payment is due.

Here is the current basic price list: (Size in inches, acrylic painting on natural leaves, prices in US dollars, shipping not included)

6" x 8"

: $120.00

8" x 10"

: $150.00

11" x 14"

: $180.00

16" x 20"

: $200.00

This price list is based on acrylic paintings on basic leaves. Commissions in other media or for illustration work may also be considered. I retain all copyright on the image so I can make prints or license it to a publisher or as an illustration. If many extra details, figures or animals are wanted in the composition, the price would be adjusted depending on difficulty. A signed contract and deposit is required before any work is completed.

Your satisfaction is my satisfaction:

My ultimate goal is 100% client satisfaction. As a part-time artist, I make my living from my day job, so please be sure to contact me with plenty of time in advance of any deadline since I do occasionally have a waiting list (particularly around holidays). Depending on the type of leaf, the painting process takes more time as the texture of some leaves absorbs more of the acrylic.
